CANDIDATE GUIDE
Turn experience into a clear skills profile.
A practical starting point for clearer questions and better preparation.
Discuss My Opportunities ↗
Start with tasks, not just titles.
A title such as technician, helper or supervisor can mean different things in different workplaces. List what you do during a normal week: the equipment you use, the decisions you make and the work you complete independently. Separate tasks you assist with from tasks you are qualified or authorised to perform.
Build a consistent timeline.
Write down employer or project names, locations and start and end dates. Include informal or self-employed work honestly. A gap is better explained clearly than concealed with invented dates. Keep a private record of who could verify each part of your experience.
Add evidence that matches the work.
Trade certificates, training records, references and a permitted portfolio can help explain your background. A certificate should be listed with its scope and date. Do not imply that training automatically gives a local licence in another country.
Make practical experience visible.
If you do not hold formal qualifications, describe the skills you have developed and how you learned them. Mention the materials, systems or customer situations you know. A supervisor’s reference can help explain your responsibilities, although a particular role may still require formal certification.
Prepare a short first enquiry.
Begin with your current residence, your main occupation and a few sentences about recent work. Add your intended destination and the questions you need help with. You can discuss document-sharing later; the initial enquiry does not need a passport scan.
